Smoke, dust, ozone and other air pollutants can be hazardous to your health. That’s especially true if you have a chronic condition such as asthma.
The American Academy of Family Physicians explains air pollution can cause:
- Irritation to the lungs, throat and eyes.
- A burning sensation of the eyes.
- Coughing and a tightness in the chest.
- Children may have more frequent episodes of bronchitis and ear pain.
